Personal Threat Response Training

In today's world, there is an increasing risk of experiencing or being confronted by aggressive behaviour in the workplace. As an employer, it is your responsibility to make sure your staff are fully prepared to manage workplace aggression and violence safely.

First 5 Minutes can provide aggressive behaviour management training and emergency response plans to help minimise the impact of personal threats − both in terms of your employee's physical and emotional wellbeing as well as lost time and productivity.

What is a Personal Threat?

Personal threat emergencies involve a person who is behaving in an aggressive, threatening or violent manner, and who may or may not be armed. This can include confrontation and verbal abuse with a person, verbal abuse over the phone and assaults. Such incidents can involve or be caused by angry customers, employment/workplace disputes, domestic disputes, civil disturbances, persons under the influence of drugs, etc.

Employee interventions can have a profound impact on the safety and outcome of a personal threat emergency. However, if they don't know how to respond in the right away, it may result in the situation escalating out of control. It is imperative that staff members know how to respond effectively and have a proper emergency response procedure for personal threat situations in place.

Prepare Your Staff

First 5 Minutes works closely with Australian organisations across a broad range of sectors to develop comprehensive Personal Threat and Aggression Response Management Plans and Training. Working to your unique requirements, our Aggressive and Irate Client training will ensure your employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage aggressive behaviour and, ultimately, keep themselves and co-workers safe in the workplace.
