Man Wielding Baseball Bat Goes on Rampage at Myer Store in South West Sydney

Just before 2:30pm Wednesday the 21st of June, a man wielding a baseball bat smashed make-up counters and display stands in the cosmetics section of Myer, a department store located within Westfield Liverpool in Sydney’s south west.The 52-year old man from Miller was arrested and taken to Liverpool Hospital for a mental health assessment. No injuries were reported and the affected area was re-opened an hour later.Shoppers reported the man verbally abused Myer staff and yelled as he swung his baseball bat into merchandise.Personal threat emergencies involve a person who is behaving in an aggressive, threatening or violent manner, who may be armed.
