Emergency Control Organisation
The First 5 Minutes system of emergency response and training is designed to enable the occupants of your premises to react appropriately to an emergency situation in your building.
The system is especially designed to enable occupants to react independently prior to the arrival of the professional emergency services. In this way, the risks to life and property are minimised.
The First 5 Minutes Emergency Control Organisation system is designed to:
- Conform with the Australian Standard for Emergency Control Organisation and procedures for buildings, structures and workplaces (AS3745-2002)
- Assist property owners and managers to meet their wider legal (and moral) obligations to provide for these contingencies
- Ensure that all occupants of the building are able to deal with an emergency once an alarm is raised, in a way that reduces risk and protects lives while minimising costs
- Be far more comprehensive than just a training activity. The service constitutes three significant phases which are spaced throughout the year to minimise disruption and to allow for the consolidation of knowledge by training participants.
